The royal british hotel edinburgh is a well regarded and friendly 2 star hotel set in a fine georgian building in the heart of the city on Princes Street. In keeping with traditional Scottish hospitality, the 'RB' is renowned for the warm welcome and is the perfect base for a stay in Scotland's capital.

The hotel has a traditional British restaurant and lounge with fine views of Edinburgh Castle and across Princes Street Gardens; Heidi's Pantry offers a healthy range of snacks and the newly refurbished Glendale Bar is an ideal place to sit and relax.

All of the 72 bedrooms are simply decorated and furnished, each with en suite facilities (a bath or shower), colour television, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and direct-line telephone. Some rooms (particularly the 'executive' rooms) have nice views over the railway station and to edinburgh's old town beyond.
